About Team 8789

The Lost Sockets team started in the fall of 2021. We pride ourselves on our inclusivity and positive attitude.

Our Mission

The main goal of team 8789 is to be welcoming of all students, regardless of their knowledge or experience. Our team accepts anyone who has an interest in learning about any of the STEAM fields as well as marketing, business, and management. Our more experienced mentors and students are always willing to help teach new members, and those considering learning about FIRST Robotics. 

Our Values

The Lost Sockets greatly value inclusivity, not just in our team, but throughout all of FIRST Robotics. We are always welcoming new players to the team and collaborate very well with other teams at FIRST. We also value ensuring each student reaches their full potential, always pushing students to try their best and to explore innovative and creative solutions. Teamwork is also a keystone of our team, focusing on student lead design and problem solving.
